The actual winner of the parliamentary election in the single-member electoral district No.20 — a self-nominated candidate Serhii Martyniak declared resignation from the deputy seat in Volhynian Oblast Council.

Today, 7 November, Head of Oblast Council Volodymyr Voitovych informed of this at the plenary session. He received the statement of Martyniuk, in which he is resigning from his deputy seat in the Oblast Council since in his native district in Turiysk Raion (it is there where he won the FPTP election to the Oblast Council), he hadn't been supported by the votes at the parliamentary election. According to the district election commission, most residents of the raion voted for Martyniak's opponent — Roman Karpiuk (United Opposition Fatherland).

In fact, Martyniak, according to the final protocol of the DEC of the ED No.20 is the winner of the election in the district. However, there is no order of the CEC yet, according to which he would have been a people's deputy of Ukraine.
