The Central Election Commission decided not to register 5 individuals. Three self-nominated candidates were rejected due to the non-conformity of submitted documents and the absence of supporting documentation for the payment of a full amount of monetary pledge. Petro Symonenko was denied registration because his party is subject to decommunisation law. Oleksandr Soloviov was denied registration because of questionable statements in election program. The CEC took such decision on 2 February meeting.

On 2 February, the CEC decided not to register 5 individuals as candidates for the President of Ukraine: Oleksandr Zhamoido, Dmytro Kasianenko, Yaroslava Kachanovska, Petro Symonenko (nominated by the Communist Party of Ukraine) and Oleksandr Soloviov (nominated by the Rozumna Syla party).

Three self-nominated candidates were denied due to the non-conformity of submitted documents and the absence of supporting documentation for the payment of monetary pledge in full amount of 2.5 million UAH. All members of the CEC voted unanimously for each of the corresponding resolutions.

Leader of the Communist Party of Ukraine Petro Symonenko was denied registration as a candidate for the President. Members of the CEC referred to the Law of Ukraine on Condemnation of Communist and National Socialistic (Nazi) Totalitarian Regimes in Ukraine and Ban on the Propaganda of Their Symbols. Statute and Symbols of the CPU are not in line with requirements of this law. Besides that, his questionnaire didn't include information about his residence on the territory of Ukraine during the last 10 years. All members of the CEC voted unanimously for each of the corresponding resolutions.

Leader of the Rozumna Syla party Oleksandr Soloviov was denied in registration due to the non-conformity of submitted documents. Besides that, the CEC referred to incorrect formulations in election program of the potential candidate, which may be understood as statements that “authorities” of self-proclaimed republics in Donetsk and Luhansk oblasts are in fact state authorities. Thus, 13 members of the CEC voted for this resolution, and three – Alla Basaieva, Olha Lotiuk, and Svitlana Kustova, – abstained.

We should also mention that Volodymyr Oliinyk, Vasyl Zhuravlov, Serhii Kryvonos, Yuliia Lytvynenko, Andrii Novak have managed to submit documents before today's meeting. Plus at least 6 persons till the end of the day. We are still specifying who these individuals were.
