Cherkasy City Election Commission has recognized Serhii Odarych (the Party of Free Democrats) elected as city mayor. 10 of 18 members of the TEC voted for this decision. The Commission determined voting results without results of 5 polling stations, which were considered void.

"Despite the raging resistance Batkivshchyna's coalition and the Communist Party, Cherkasy City Election Commission has finally approved the elected Mayor of Cherkasy," – wrote Serhii Odarych on his Facebook page.

According to the TEC, Odarych was supported by more than 50 thousand voters, and his main competitor Anatolii Bondarenko received more than 31 thousand votes.

We remind that the CEC dissolved the previous membership of the territorial election commission on June 4, due to the violation of the law.

Besides that, then-City Council voted for the withdrawal of Serhii Odarych from the post of mayor. Viktor Bilousov was acting mayor instead of him during the year (the Communist Party of Ukraine).
