During the observation of the voting process and vote count, OPORA's observers reported mostly procedural violations in Ivano-Frankivsk oblast. However, the number and types of violations didn't threaten the organization of voting process, they were not widespread, and couldn't have influence on voting results.
Ivan Maruniak, Coordinator of the Civil Network OPORA in Ivano-Frankivsk oblast, stated: "Elections in Prykarpattia were conducted fairly and democratically, and correspond with international standards of electoral process organization. These elections were one of the best organized in Ivano-Frankivsk oblast from those observed by the OPORA.
There were little violations, and the number of complaints and acts was small. Almost all misunderstandings which arose between observers and members of PEC in Prykarpattia were operatively resolved. Elections in Prykarpattia were held in correspondence with the legislation and democratic standards, all the candidates had equal opportunities. The result of vote count is fair, and no violations which could have influenced the final election result were detected."

Civic monitoring conducted by OPORA - is a type of network activity, aimed at impartial assessment of the preparation and conduct of elections, as well as preventing electoral violations through comprehensive civic action.
Since March, OPORA conducts a wide observation campaign during snap Presidential election, interim Parliamentary elections (district #83), and special local elections. The organization cooperates with 175 long-term observers, who are watching the course of election campaign in all Ukrainian regions. On the Election Day on May 25, 3,000 activists will join them to conduct the parallel vote tabulation, based on statistical sample.
