According to data from the State Register of Voters, 64,967 voters have temporarily changed voting location. We would like to remind that the procedure consists of 5 simple steps that take around 10 minutes. Besides that, the citizens are welcome to change their assigned locations on weekends since the beginning of March.

The majority of voters changed the voting location within Donetsk oblast (from one settlement to another) – 6,841. TOP 10 by the number of voters who changed their assigned locations: from Donetsk oblast to Kyiv city – 4,511 voters; within Luhansk oblast (from one settlement to another) – 2,228 voters; from Luhansk oblast to Kyiv city – 2,142; from Donetsk oblast to Kyiv oblast – 2,049; from Donetsk oblast to Dnipropetrovsk oblast – 1,769; from Donetsk and Luhansk oblasts to Kharkiv oblast – 1,521 and 1,325 voters respectively; within Kyiv oblast – 1,318; and from Donetsk oblast to Zaporizhia oblast – 1,107 voters.

The majority of citizens willing to change their assigned voting location are registered in Dnipropetrovsk oblast –22,587; Luhansk oblast – 10,503; Kyiv and Kyiv oblast – 3,314 and 2,441 voters respectively; and Dnipropetrovsk oblast – 2,278 voters.

The biggest number of voters changed their assigned locations to the city of Kyiv – 12,422. Many of them will also visit new polling stations in Donetsk oblast – 7,405; Kyiv oblast – 7,005; Kharkiv oblast – 5,250; and Dnipropetrovsk oblast – 3,672.

None of the assigned addresses was changed within an overseas district. However, 869 voters changed their voting location to an overseas electoral district. Most of them are from Kyiv – 280. 63 voters changed their assigned locations in overseas districts to different oblast of Ukraine. Most of them will vote in Kyiv – 14.

It should be mentioned that Ukrainian voter has three options to vote overseas:

  1. If he lives permanently abroad – to register in a consulate and get into a voter list at overseas polling station automatically. Such registration would cost $20 (free for children under 16 years old);
  2. If a voter has a working visa abroad – to register in a consulate and get into a voter list at overseas polling station automatically. Such registration is free for up to one year;
  3. If a voter is abroad on a short-term business trip or vacation – to apply for a temporary change of assigned location abroad or in Ukraine (by making a personal appeal to the State Voter Register maintenance body under the MFA in Kyiv) before the trip.

We remind that there were 15,202 voters who changed their assigned location as of 10 February. The biggest number of people have changed their assigned location on 6 March – 4,595 voters throughout Ukraine.
