In Novoaidarskyi raion (Luhansk oblast), at 3:20pm, armed people have seized the polling station #440266 (TED #115).

A commission member, who refused to tell his surname because of threat to his safety, informed: 11 armed men came on two cars, and seized the polling station, smashed everything inside, and took electoral documentation and ballot papers. Nobody was taken as prisoner. Everybody are afraid and don't know what to do.

Commission members of the polling station #440262, which is situated near the settlement of Aidar-Mykolaivka of Novoaidar raion have decided to evacuate the electoral documentation from polling station, because they think that armed separatists will come to them. Leaders of the CEC cannot contact the ED now. The voting is suspended.

Civic monitoring conducted by OPORA - is a type of network activity, aimed at impartial assessment of the preparation and conduct of elections, as well as preventing electoral violations through comprehensive civic action. Since March, OPORA conducts a wide observation campaign during snap Presidential election, interim Parliamentary elections (district #83), and special local elections. The organization cooperates with 175 long-term observers, who are watching the course of election campaign in all Ukrainian regions. On the Election Day on May 25, 3,000 activists will join them to conduct the parallel vote tabulation, based on statistical sample.
