The Central Election Commission has scheduled the first local elections in 40 united territorial communities in 17 oblasts of Ukraine for 29 April 2018. The corresponding decision was taken on February 16 meeting.

The election will be held in 4 city, 14 settlement, and 22 village UTCs.

In particular, the elections will be held in 1 united territorial community in Vinnytsia oblast, 1 UTC in Volyn oblast, 4 UTCs in Dnipropetrovsk oblast, 1 UTC in Donetsk oblast, 7 UTCs in Zaporizhia oblast, 2 UTCs in Ivano-Frankivsk oblast, 3 UTCs in Kirovohrad oblast, 1 UTC in Luhansk oblast, 3 UTCs in Odesa oblast, 2 UTCs in Poltava oblast, 3 UTCs in Rivne oblast, 1 UTC in Sumy oblast, 2 UTCs in Ternopil oblast, 4 UTCs in Kharkiv oblast, 1 UTC in Kherson oblast, 2 UTCs in Khmelnytsk oblast, and 2 UTCs in Chernivtsi oblast.

The CEC has announced that the election of councilors and heads of UTCs shall start on 10 March 2018.

According to the preliminary calculations, over 263 thousand voters will have a change to participate in the election.
