The Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine has registered Draft Law of Ukraine on Making Amendments to Some Legislative Acts Aimed to Strengthen Liability for Violation of Electoral Legislation, jointly developed by Civil Network OPORA, the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Ukraine and the National Police of Ukraine.

The corresponding document appeared on VRU website on Friday, 13 April, registration number 8270.

Submission of the draft law was initiated by Volodymyr Hroisman, Head of the Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine.

The text hasn't been published yet on the parliament's website.

We remind that on 11 April, the Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine supported the Draft Law of Ukraine on Making Amendments to Some Legislative Acts Aimed to Strengthen Liability for Violation of Electoral Legislation, jointly developed by Civil Network OPORA, the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Ukraine and the National Police of Ukraine. The draft law has already been approved by the Prosecutor's General Office, the Ministry of Justice, and the Central Election Commission.

The team had been developing the draft law for almost two years It was thoroughly discussed by the public and positively assessed by experts.
