A criminal case was initiated against Mykhailo Kumok, who voted for him and his wife at the polling station #230725 during the presidential election in Melitopol on 25 May. 

The district election commission of TED #81 held a meeting with law-enforcement officers attending to consider the issue of this voter. Within the criminal investigation under the Article 158-1 (1) of the Criminal Code of Ukraine, copies of two counterfoils of the ballot papers, and one sheet of voter list with signatures of Mykhailo Kumok. We remind that voting more than once at the same election is a felony. The punishment varies from one to three hundred of untaxed salary minimum, corrective labor for up to two years, or restriction on liberty for up to three years. The punishment for such actions made in conspiracy with a member of election commission is a fine from three to five hundred of untaxed salary minimums or deprivation of liberty for up to three years.

On 30 May, the session of Melitopol City Council was held to conduct the secret vote on discharge of the Director of TRK "Melitopol" communal enterprise, Mykhailo Kumok, but the decision wasn't passed. 29 councilors voted for the dismissal of Mykhailo Kumok, but the minimal needed number is 31.

As it's already known, Mykhailo Kumok violated the journalist ethics when rudely forbade local journalists from attending the round table (Oblast Directorate of the National Union of Journalists passed a decision regarding his behavior).
